Swapping USD Coin for Tron: what you need to know
If you hold USDC ERC20 and want Tron, you don’t need an exchange account. At ROVEN exchange the swap takes a few minutes: you see the final amount in advance, and an operator checks every order by hand.
USDC ERC20 is Circle’s regulated stablecoin on Ethereum, with reserves attested monthly. Tron (TRX) is the coin of the Tron network, which carries most of the world’s USDT transfers.
Why swap USDC ERC20 for TRX
A stablecoin is a handy way to hold dollars, but to benefit from market growth or use the Tron network you need TRX itself. With TRX you get access to the apps, staking and tokens of the Tron network.
Networks and addresses
| You send USDC ERC20 | You receive TRX | |
|---|---|---|
| Network | Ethereum (ERC20) | Tron |
| Address | “0x” + 40 characters | “T” + 33 characters |
| Network speed | a block comes every 12 seconds | a block comes every 3 seconds |
| Memo / tag | Not needed | Not needed |
What to watch out for
- Send USDC on Ethereum, not Base, Polygon or Solana — those are different versions of the token.
- TRX arrives at a “T…” address; the same coins later pay the fees for USDT TRC20.
- To send USDC your wallet needs some ETH to pay the network fee.
- Send the exact amount from the order and do it within 30 minutes, while the locked rate is valid.
How long the swap takes
Swap speed depends on both networks. On Ethereum (ERC20), a block comes every 12 seconds; on Tron, a block comes every 3 seconds. The whole USDC ERC20 to TRX swap usually takes 5 to 30 minutes once your transfer is confirmed.
The current rate is 1 USDC = 3.250774 TRX and the minimum amount is 50 USDC. Create an order in the form above, and ROVEN exchange will send swap updates by email or Telegram.
