Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions ROVEN exchange customers ask most before exchanging. Did not find yours? Contact support.

How it works

How does the exchange work?

You create an order and send the coins to the address shown. Once the funds arrive, an operator confirms the payment and sends you the coins at the locked rate. The order page updates its status automatically.

Why are orders reviewed manually?

Manual review protects against mistakes and fraud: the operator checks the amount, the network and the transaction confirmations before sending the payout.

Do I need to sign up?

No. You can track your order with its personal link, and connect the Telegram bot to get notified about every step.

Which cryptocurrencies can I exchange?

ROVEN exchange works with Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT on TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20, USDC, Litecoin, TON, TRON, Solana, XRP and other popular coins. The full list with rates and reserves is on the “Coins” page.

How is a swap service different from an exchange?

On an exchange you need to sign up, pass verification, deposit, place an order and then withdraw. With a swap service you simply create an order: you see the payout in advance, send the coins and receive the swap in your own wallet. There’s no need to keep funds in someone else’s account.

Where does the payout come from?

The operator sends the payout from the service’s reserves to the address in your order. Once it’s sent, the transaction hash appears on the order page so you can check the transfer in a block explorer.

What is a reserve?

The reserve is the amount of a coin the service holds for payouts. The payout of a single order can’t exceed the reserve. Current reserves are shown on the “Rates” page and on each direction’s page.

Can I exchange from my phone?

Yes. The website is fully adapted for smartphones, and you can also create an order in our Telegram bot or mini app right inside Telegram.

Orders and payment

How do I create an order?

On the home page or a direction page, choose what you send and what you receive, enter the amount and your receiving address (plus a memo if the network requires one). Check the payout and press “Continue”. The order page opens with the payment address.

Where do I get the payment address and amount?

They’re on the order page: the payment address, the exact amount, the network and, if needed, a memo. Copy them with the buttons instead of typing. There’s also a QR code of the address for convenience.

Why do I have to send the exact amount?

The rate is locked for the amount in the order. If less or more arrives, the operator has to recalculate the swap. Remember that the sender pays the network fee, and an exchange may keep its own withdrawal fee.

Why press “I’ve paid”?

The button tells the operator the transfer has been sent and helps find it faster. If you add the transaction hash, the check takes even less time. The payout still starts only once the operator sees the funds on the blockchain.

What is a transaction hash and where do I get it?

The hash (TXID) is a transfer’s unique number on the blockchain. You’ll find it in the transfer details in your wallet or in the withdrawal history on an exchange. It isn’t secret: it can only be used to check the transfer, not to access funds.

Can I pay an order from an exchange?

Yes. When withdrawing, choose the same network as in the order and paste the address and memo from the order. Check the “You will receive” line: many exchanges deduct the withdrawal fee from the amount, so add it on top.

Can I pay with several transfers?

It’s best to send a single transaction. If the amount did arrive in parts, contact support with the order number and the hashes of all transfers — the operator will add them up and complete the swap.

How do I cancel an order?

While an order is unpaid, you can cancel it with the button on the order page. If you’ve already sent funds, don’t cancel — contact support, and the operator will offer to complete the swap or return the funds.

How do I find my order later?

Every order has a unique link — save it. If you created the order in the Telegram bot or mini app, all your orders are available there. Failing that, send support the order number or the transfer hash.

Rates, fees and limits

How is the rate locked?

The rate is locked when you create the order. The payout is stated in the order and doesn’t change even if the market moves while your transfer waits for confirmations — provided you paid on time and sent the exact amount.

How long is the rate locked for?

For 30 minutes. The timer is shown on the order page. That’s enough to send the transfer calmly from any wallet or exchange.

Where does the rate come from?

The rate is calculated from the prices of the largest exchanges, including the service’s markup and the network fee for the payout. Prices update automatically, so the rate on the site is always close to the market.

What fees will I pay?

The service’s markup and the network fee for the payout are already included in the rate — the payout in the order is final. Separately you only pay the network fee for your own transfer, as with any crypto transfer. If a direction has a fixed fee, it’s stated in advance.

Who pays the network fee?

You pay for your transfer to the service’s address, from your own wallet. The service pays for the payout to you; it’s already included in the rate.

What is the minimum amount?

The minimum depends on the direction and is shown on its page and in the exchange form. It’s usually equivalent to a few tens of dollars.

Is there a maximum amount?

The maximum for one order is limited by the reserve of the coin you receive. If you need more than the reserve, contact support and we’ll try to help.

Why does the rate differ from the exchange price?

The rate includes the service’s markup, the network fee for the payout and the risk of locking the rate for the order’s duration. In return, you know the exact payout in advance and don’t pay a separate withdrawal fee.

Networks, addresses and memo

How do I choose a network?

Choose a network the recipient supports. For USDT, TRC20 is usually the most convenient (fast and inexpensive), ERC20 suits DeFi and maximum compatibility, and BEP20 is good for cheap transfers between exchanges. The sender’s and recipient’s networks must match.

What’s the difference between USDT TRC20 and USDT ERC20?

It’s the same stablecoin on different blockchains: TRC20 on TRON, ERC20 on Ethereum. Fees, speed and address format differ: TRC20 addresses start with “T”, ERC20 with “0x”. USDT can’t be moved between networks directly — only through a swap.

How do I check the recipient address?

Take the address from your wallet’s “Receive” section or the exchange’s “Deposit” section, not from your transfer history. After pasting, compare the first and last 4–6 characters. The exchange form validates the address format for the chosen network and won’t create an order with an invalid address.

What is a memo or tag?

It’s a short identifier that tells an exchange or swap service whom to credit for a transfer to a shared address. It’s used on TON, XRP, Stellar and Cosmos. If the order shows a memo, be sure to add it to your transfer.

Do I need a memo when receiving coins on an exchange?

Yes. If you’re receiving TON, XRP, XLM or ATOM on an exchange, enter the memo your exchange shows in its deposit section in the order form. A personal wallet doesn’t need one.

Can I receive coins directly on an exchange?

Yes. Enter the exchange’s deposit address on the right network and, if required, a memo. Make sure the exchange accepts this token on exactly this network.

Why can’t I send USDT even though I have funds?

Most likely your wallet has none of the network’s native coin to pay the fee: TRX for USDT TRC20, ETH for ERC20 or BNB for BEP20. Top it up and the transfer will go through.

How do I move USDT from one network to another?

Only through a swap: for example, create a USDT TRC20 → USDT ERC20 order, send USDT on one network and receive it on the other. The rate is close to 1:1 and locked in the order.

Timing and confirmations

How long does an exchange take?

Usually 5–30 minutes after the funds arrive, depending on the number of confirmations required by the sending network and on operator load.

Why does Bitcoin take longer than other coins?

A Bitcoin block is produced every 10 minutes on average, and confirmations must be awaited before the payout. If the transfer’s fee was low, the transaction may also wait in the queue.

How many confirmations do you wait for?

It depends on the network and the amount. For Bitcoin it’s usually 1–3 confirmations; for fast networks like TRON, about a minute. The operator starts the payout as soon as the transfer is reliable.

My Bitcoin transfer is stuck. What should I do?

If your wallet supports RBF, bump the transaction fee. Don’t send the money again as a new transfer. If confirmations arrive after the timer ends, contact support with the hash — the operator will take the sending time into account.

What do the order statuses mean?
  • Awaiting payment — the order is created and we’re waiting for your transfer.
  • Paid by client — you pressed “I’ve paid” and the operator is looking for the transfer.
  • Processing — payment confirmed, the payout is being prepared.
  • Completed — the payout is sent and its hash is in the order.
  • Cancelled or Expired — the order closed without a swap.
Payment is confirmed but there’s no payout. What now?

The payout is usually sent within a few minutes of confirmation. If noticeably more time has passed, check whether a payout hash has appeared on the order page, and contact support with your order number.

How can I be sure the payout was sent?

When the order is completed, the payout hash appears on its page and in the notification. Tap it to open a block explorer showing the funds went to your address.

Mistakes and refunds

What if I do not pay in time?

The rate is locked for the time shown in the order. If no payment arrives in time, the order closes. If you have already sent the coins, contact support with your order number and we will sort it out.

I sent the wrong amount or used the wrong network

Contact support right away with your order number and transaction hash. Sending on a different network can lead to a loss of funds, so always check the network before transferring.

Less arrived than in the order because of an exchange fee

This is common. The operator will contact you and offer to recalculate the swap for the actual amount or to top up the difference. To avoid it, add the exchange’s fee on top when withdrawing.

I sent more than needed

The order amount is swapped at the locked rate, and the excess is recalculated at the current rate or refunded. Contact support to choose what suits you.

I forgot the memo when paying

The funds won’t be lost. Contact support with your order number and the transaction hash — the operator will find the transfer by amount, time and hash and complete the swap.

I entered the wrong receiving address

If the payout hasn’t been sent yet, contact support urgently with your order number — the operator will stop the payout and confirm the address. If the payout has already gone, only the address owner can return it: a blockchain transaction can’t be reversed.

How do I get a refund?

A refund is possible if the swap can’t be completed — for example, the funds arrived after the timer or on another network and a recalculation doesn’t suit you. Funds are returned to the sending address or an address you specify, minus the network fee.

The order expired but I’d already sent the money

Don’t create a new order or send the money again. Contact support with the expired order’s number and the transfer hash — the operator will find the funds and offer a swap at the current rate or a refund.

Security and AML

Is it safe to exchange with ROVEN exchange?

The rate and payout are visible before you send money, an operator checks every order, and the payout hash lets you verify the transfer yourself. We never ask you to connect a wallet and don’t hold your funds longer than the swap takes.

What is an AML check?

It’s a check of the source of funds that protects against money laundering. Incoming transfers may be checked with blockchain analytics tools. The vast majority of orders pass it without the customer noticing.

Do I need to verify my identity?

Not for a regular swap. Additional questions about the source of funds are possible only in exceptional cases when the AML check requires it. See the AML policy for details.

Will you ask for my seed phrase or to connect my wallet?

Never. A swap only requires you to send a transfer to the address in the order. Anyone asking for your seed phrase, private key or a wallet connection on our behalf is a scammer.

“Support” is messaging me on Telegram

Our support never writes first in private messages. Contact us only via the contacts on the website and the official bot linked from the site. If someone writes to you on our behalf, let us know.

What data do you store?

Only what’s needed for the swap: addresses, amounts, transaction hashes and a contact if you provided one. If you use the bot, your Telegram profile data. See the privacy policy for details.

What happens if the coins turn out to be linked to a crime?

If the AML check shows a high risk, the order may be put on hold and you may be asked about the source of funds. Funds linked to fraud or sanctions aren’t accepted for exchange.

Telegram bot and notifications

What can the Telegram bot do?

The bot lets you open the mini app to swap, view your orders and get a notification on every status change. It replies in the language of your Telegram.

What is the mini app?

It’s a version of the swap service that opens right inside Telegram. It has the same directions and rates as the website, and orders are automatically linked to your Telegram account.

How do I get order status notifications?

Create your order through the Telegram bot or mini app — a notification for every step will arrive in the chat. On the website, the status updates on the order page automatically.

How do I leave a review?

There’s a form on the “Reviews” page. If you enter the number of a completed order, your review gets an “Exchange confirmed” badge. After a completed swap, the bot will also invite you to leave a review. All reviews are moderated.
