Swapping Polygon for Tron: what you need to know
Exchanging POL for TRX is useful when you rebalance a portfolio or want to move from one network to another without buying stablecoins in between. At ROVEN exchange the coins are swapped directly, and the rate is locked when you create the order.
POL (formerly MATIC) is the coin of Polygon PoS, an Ethereum-compatible network with fees in cents. Tron (TRX) is the coin of the Tron network, which carries most of the world’s USDT transfers.
Why swap POL for TRX
Shifting between POL and TRX is a normal part of managing a portfolio: you change your exposure without cashing out to fiat. With TRX you get access to the apps, staking and tokens of the Tron network.
Networks and addresses
| You send POL | You receive TRX | |
|---|---|---|
| Network | Polygon PoS | Tron |
| Address | “0x” + 40 characters | “T” + 33 characters |
| Network speed | a block comes every 2 seconds | a block comes every 3 seconds |
| Memo / tag | Not needed | Not needed |
What to watch out for
- Send POL on Polygon, not POL as an ERC20 token on Ethereum.
- TRX arrives at a “T…” address; the same coins later pay the fees for USDT TRC20.
- The rate is locked for 30 minutes: send POL within that time and you’ll receive exactly the amount shown in the order.
How long the swap takes
Swap speed depends on both networks. On Polygon PoS, a block comes every 2 seconds; on Tron, a block comes every 3 seconds. The whole POL to TRX swap usually takes 5 to 30 minutes once your transfer is confirmed.
Right now ROVEN exchange swaps POL for TRX at 1 POL = 0.298224 TRX, with a minimum of 222.222222 POL. Fill in the form above: no sign-up is needed, and you can track the order status online.
