Swapping Dogecoin for Bitcoin: what you need to know
Exchanging DOGE for BTC is useful when you rebalance a portfolio or want to move from one network to another without buying stablecoins in between. At ROVEN exchange the coins are swapped directly, and the rate is locked when you create the order.
Dogecoin (DOGE) is the first meme cryptocurrency, which grew into a popular coin for tips and payments. Bitcoin (BTC) is the first and largest cryptocurrency, with a capped supply of 21 million coins.
Why swap DOGE for BTC
Shifting between DOGE and BTC is a normal part of managing a portfolio: you change your exposure without cashing out to fiat. Bitcoin is most often bought for long-term holding as “digital gold”.
Networks and addresses
| You send DOGE | You receive BTC | |
|---|---|---|
| Network | Dogecoin | Bitcoin |
| Address | “D…” or “A…” | “bc1…”, “1…” or “3…” |
| Network speed | a block comes roughly every minute | a block comes roughly every 10 minutes |
| Memo / tag | Not needed | Not needed |
What to watch out for
- Send DOGE on the Dogecoin network only, not DOGE tokens on BNB Smart Chain.
- A Bitcoin address starts with “bc1”, “1” or “3” — don’t confuse it with a Bitcoin Cash address.
- The rate is locked for 30 minutes: send DOGE within that time and you’ll receive exactly the amount shown in the order.
How long the swap takes
Swap speed depends on both networks. On Dogecoin, a block comes roughly every minute; on Bitcoin, a block comes roughly every 10 minutes. The whole DOGE to BTC swap usually takes 5 to 30 minutes once your transfer is confirmed.
Right now ROVEN exchange swaps DOGE for BTC at 1 BTC = 969 084.98 DOGE, with a minimum of 250 DOGE. Fill in the form above: no sign-up is needed, and you can track the order status online.
