Swapping Tron for Bitcoin: what you need to know
To switch from Tron to Bitcoin you don’t need to sell for dollars first and then buy again. ROVEN exchange does it in one step: one order, one rate, one payout.
Tron (TRX) is the coin of the Tron network, which carries most of the world’s USDT transfers. Bitcoin (BTC) is the first and largest cryptocurrency, with a capped supply of 21 million coins.
Why swap TRX for BTC
Coins serve different purposes, and sometimes holding BTC makes more sense — for faster transfers, staking or the Bitcoin ecosystem. Bitcoin is most often bought for long-term holding as “digital gold”.
Networks and addresses
| You send TRX | You receive BTC | |
|---|---|---|
| Network | Tron | Bitcoin |
| Address | “T” + 33 characters | “bc1…”, “1…” or “3…” |
| Network speed | a block comes every 3 seconds | a block comes roughly every 10 minutes |
| Memo / tag | Not needed | Not needed |
What to watch out for
- Send TRX on Tron mainnet, not TRX tokens on other blockchains.
- A Bitcoin address starts with “bc1”, “1” or “3” — don’t confuse it with a Bitcoin Cash address.
- Send the exact amount from the order and do it within 30 minutes, while the locked rate is valid.
How long the swap takes
Swap speed depends on both networks. On Tron, a block comes every 3 seconds; on Bitcoin, a block comes roughly every 10 minutes. The whole TRX to BTC swap usually takes 5 to 30 minutes once your transfer is confirmed.
The current rate is 1 BTC = 223 779.09 TRX and the minimum amount is 66.666667 TRX. Create an order in the form above, and ROVEN exchange will send swap updates by email or Telegram.
